Jazz/hip-hop/experimental music genius Robert Glasper has been prepping his new album Everything’s Beautiful, which combines new original recordings with various samples and inspiration from the extensive and provocative career of jazz great Miles Davis. This week, Glasper shared the video for the single “Ghetto Walkin” which features Philly native Bilal on vocals.

Everything’s Beautiful, which will also feature performances by Erykah Badu, John Schfield, and Stevie Wonder, is out May 27th. “Ghetto Walkin” is based on the 60’s Davis cut “The Ghetto Walk” and works in Bilal’s sense for melody and vocal variation. The song will be released as a single on Saturday for Record Store Day. Glasper also recently scored the Davis biopic Miles Ahead, which stars and was directed by Don Cheadle.
