Hip hop group Digable Planets have expanded their latest reunion to include a tour of U.S. venues in addition to their previously announced festival appearances. This string of dates brings the “Rebirth of Slick” trio to the Ardmore Music Hall on July 28th.

This reunion comes eleven years after the band’s initial 1995 breakup. It’s pretty close to a hometown show for Craig “Doodlebug” Irving, who grew up in Philadelphia and met fellow DP founder Ishmael “Butterfly” Butler in the city.

The members have stayed active, though, with Irving performing around town as Cee Knowledge & The Cosmic Funk Orchestra and Butler leading Shabazz Palaces out of Seattle. Rounding out the group is Ladybug Mecca, who has collaborated with Del that Funkee Homosapien and released her own solo material.

Tickets for the 21+ show will be available here; watch the video for “Rebirth of Slick (Cool Like That)” below.
