The last time we premiered an EP from Del Sur, it was late September and the summer winds were cooling off – H.A.G.S.was a lingering reminder of sunny days down the shore and late nights on the boardwalk. This time, the Yardley-born outfit of Michael Collier is ushering us into the warmer season with a collection of brightly toned pop songs on Eating in Bed.

Now based in Charleston, SC, the “nu-tropicalia” band is all about carefree living on the EP’s six songs. We hear an updated version of H.A.G.S. opener “In My Room,” while the syncopated “Cape Coast” will fit in on any backyard BBQ playlist. Fans of Mac DeMarco, Real Estate, Young Man or fthrsn will dig Eating in Bed immensely.

The EP is out tomorrow via Rough Beast Records. Collier brings his band back to town for a house show with Family Volleyball, Frontyards and A Virgin on May 7th; more information can be found here.
