Neil Young will release his latest live album-“Earth” in June, with performances from his 2015 Monsanto Years tour with Promise of the Real.
“Earth” is expected out on June 17 (or June 10 via Amazon)
According to Neil Young–
“At Ninety-eight uninterrupted minutes long, Earth flows as a collection of 13 songs from throughout my life, songs I have written about living here on our planet together. Our animal kingdom is well represented in the audience as well, and the animals, insects, birds, and mammals actually take over the performances of the songs at times.”

It was an all-star cast of musicians gathering in LA last night to pay tribute to Big Star by covering the band’s 1978 album “Third.” Jeff Tweedy and Pat Sansone of Wilco joined R.E.M.’s Mike Mills, Yo La Tengo’s Ira Kaplan, Jessica Pratt, the Kronos Quartet, Robyn Hitchcock, and Big Star members Jody Stephens, Ken Stringfellow and Jon Auer at the Alex Theatre. The concert was filmed for a DVD and is set to be released in the spring of 2017.
