Anderson.Paak has released a new video that combines three songs from his second album, Malibu, that the R&B/Hip-Hop musician released in January. The songs are “The Season” and “Carry Me” segue into “The Waters,” a track featuring BJ The Chicago Kid (who also appears in the video).

On Malibu, .Paak creates a colorful mix of funk, soul, R&B, hip-hop, and rock, and his appearance on Dr. Dre’s 2015 album Compton was one of the high points on the album. At NPR Music’s SXSW showcase at Stubbs, Anderson and his band performed an undeniably jaw-dropping set.

.Paak and his band the Free Nationals play The Roots picnic on Saturday, June 4th, and an additional regional date on July 29th, in Scranton at The Pavilion at Montage Mountain.

Below, watch the video for the three songs. It’s a beautiful, colorful, trippy, and artfully put together collage of animation directed by .Paak and Chris Le, with art direction by Philly visual artist Dewey Saunders.
