Philly punk powerhouses Sheer Mag just released their kickass EP III last month, and they will be performing tonight at PhilaMOCA for the Philadelphia Student Union Fundraiser. Also playing will be Bad Canoes and Dark Thoughts. For tickets and more information, check out the XPN Concert Calendar.

Space-jazz messenger and saxophone god Kamasi Washington released his widely acclaimed album The Epic last year, and tonight he will be performing at Musikfest Cafe as part of ArtsQuest. For tickets and more info, check out the link here.

Folk singer-songwriter Emmett Drueding performs tonight at Kung Fu Necktie. Drueding’s EP Strange Bruise was released last year. Also playing will be Miles Orion Butler, Rooster, Sweetbriar Rose, and Dawn Hiatt. For tickets and more information, check out the link here.
