The Avett Brothers will headline the Mann Center tonight, previewing their forthcoming record True Sadness. It’s the band’s ninth studio record, so by now the brothers have developed a deep understanding of what makes them tick; Seth Avett detailed their influences, motives and thoughts in a letter earlier this spring, which you can read here. Listen to the title track below and pick up tickets for the all-ages show here.

What Scene hosts Foxtail Fest at the Trocadero tonight, featuring a line-up of local acts including hip hop artist Anyee Wright. She released her debut EP Keep Going, Free Spirit in 2014, and will be following it up with a new record this year. Check out “Say Yeah” below and pick up tickets for the fest here.

Gallant performs at the Electric Factory. The DC native released his debut studio album Ology earlier this year, building on the buzz that had been simmering since his releasing his 2015 single “Weight In Gold.” Listen to that track below and pick up tickets for tonight’s show here.
