Morris Day and The Time and Sheila E. to perform at the Dell on 8/25
’80s soul rockers Morris Day and The Timeand renowned percussionist Sheila E. will perform at The Dell Music Center in Fairmount Park on Thursday, August 25th at 7 p.m. Tickets went on sale Wednesday morning and are available for as little as $25. Both artists have close ties to late music legend Prince. When they were just kids, Prince and Day were in a band together called Grand Central. In the ’70s, Sheila E. met prince backstage after a gig, beginning a long friendship. It was through her vocal appearance on Prince’s “Erotic City” that launched Sheila E.’s career past the drums and into the spotlight behind a mic.
