What better way to celebrate the summer solstice than to get outside and explore all that the Philly music community has to offer on the longest day of the year? Make Music Philly returns on Tuesday, June 21st with a jam-packed schedule made to put every extra second of sunlight to good use. With a lineup featuring a wide array of local talents and stages spread out across different neighborhoods throughout the city, we picked five artists not to miss during this always enjoyable free day of music, art and culture.

JaE

A cosmic blend of rock, funk, soul and R&B, the ethereal sounds of captivating Philly native JaE will be a must see at The Boom Room Presents: Lemonade Stand (1300 N Front St) from 7:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Ai-Que

A man with a mission and an emcee with enormous heart, Ai-Que will be performing his unifying hip hop anthems at The Truck (4800 Baltimore Ave) from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Josh Miller

At just 22-years-old, singer songwriter Josh Miller has an old soul, which comes out in his blues-laden jams that you can catch at MilkBoy (1100 Chestnut Street) from 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
