Listen to Ray Lamontagne’s Free At Noon, see him live at Festival Pier this Saturday night
This Saturday night, June 18th, singer-songwriter Ray Lamontagne plays Festival Pier. Back in March, Ray and his band (members of My Morning Jacket) played Free At Noon, and performed Ray’s new album, Ouroboros, in its entirety.
The Free At Noon at World Cafe Live with Ray and members of My Morning Jacket was an intimate and exhilarating first listen to Ray’s new album. It was also the first time the band played the new material out live however it sounded as though the band had been playing the songs for years – members of the Jacket are a powerfully proficient group of players, and together with Lamontagne’s soulful singing style, the band and Ray settled into a psychedelic, mesmerizing groove. That’s what you can expect on Saturday when Ray and the Jacket boys return to Philly this Saturday night.
