Listen to a new tune from The Tallest Man On Earth: “Time Of The Blue”

The Tallest Man on Earth metaphorically towered over a TLA crowd on Saturday to give a fantastic performance. At one point, Kristian Matsson revealed a new song entitled “Time Of The Blue,” saying it would be out next week. As promised, the new song was released Wednesday after being featured Tuesday on NPR’s all songs considered’s New Mix.

Matsson admitted during Saturday’s show that despite plenty of practice time, he still struggles to play “Time Of The Blue” — and understandably so. The guitar work on this track is nothing short of masterful, with frantic yet soothing plucking filling the entire song, a solo performance that differs from the glorious full band works found on 2015’s Dark Bird Is Home.
