Today is the summer solstice and Make Music Philly is taking advantage of all the extra daylight with a jammed packed schedule of performances throughout the city. A few weeks ago we highlighted five acts you should check out at the festival, including West Philadelphia Orchestra, JaE, Ai-Que and more. More information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.
90s doom metalers Sleep take over Union Transfer tonight for a second show following Monday night’s sold out performance. Ever since a nearly decade long break from recording and touring came to an end in 2009, the band’s sporadic shows throughout the country have been can’t miss events. Tickers and more info are at the XPN Concert Calendar.
For something completely different than the aforementioned band, Sean Hoots will be playing Bourbon and Branch tonight. The Philly roots rocker has been dabbling in R&B and experimental soundscapes recently, leaving the country twang of his previous act Hoots & Hellmouth behind. Tickets and more at the XPN Concert Calendar.
