90s rockers The Muffs are on tour in support of 2014’s Whoop De Doo, their first album of new songs in a decade. The LA outfit may have been on a recording hiatus for those interim years, but their influence stayed visible; local outfit Littler just covered the band’s “Big Mouth” track (listen here), and their debut LP was re-released by Omnivore Records last summer. Welcome their new music tonight at Boot & Saddle; tickets and information for the 21+ show can be found here. Watch “Weird Boy Next Door” below.

Local quartet Louie Louie play a semi-last minute show at Kung Fu Necktie tonight. The retro pop / rock outfit gave last year’s “Out In the Streets” single a 7″ release, available on  blue vinyl via Bandcamp. Listen to the track below and get more information for tonight’s 21+ show here.

After last fall’s show was canceled, Azealia Banks makes good on her promise to return to Philly with tonight’s gig at The Foundry. Despite a propensity for controversy, the New York artist continues to pull in fans with her eclectic electronic hip hop; check out this year’s “The Big Big Beat” below and pick up tickets for the show here.
