Richmond indie rocker Lucy Dacus brings her debut album No Burden To Johnny Brenda’s tonight. Also playing tonight is RFA. Dacus’ entire record was recorded in Nashville in just one day, and despite that short amount of time it’s still a gem. Listen to No Burden below, read Tyler Asay’s interview with her here and get tix to the 21+ show over at the XPN Concert Calendar.
XPN welcomes Monsieur Perine to World Cafe Live tonight. The Colombian band won a Latin Grammy in 2015 for best new artist, and their latest record Caja de Musica was produced by Eduardo Cabre of Calle 13. They add a Latin element to gypsy jazz, as you can hear in the video below. For tickets to the all ages show, head here.
Gwen Stefani is still making music, and she’s playing it live tonight at BB&T Pavilion. Expect to hear roughly half of the set being songs from her recent album This Is What The Truth Feels Like, and half coming from the rest of her catalog. It’s an interesting style of show, as it’s broken up into three different acts. Eve will open in support. For tickets, go here.
