The Dove & The Wolf have taken Philadelphia by storm, first with their introductory Shaking Through Session and then, earlier this summer, with their I Don’t Know What To Feel EP. The Paris-born duo has a dreamy quality in their sound and a lost-in-thought style of lyrical writing, two characteristics that pair well with the nostalgic feeling of the new video for “The Smell of Us.”

Premiered by NYLON, the clip depicts a person getting dressed in a Wildwood motel room as Paloma Gil and Lou Hayat play their song on a retro TV. Donning a white wig, the anonymous character then walks the boardwalk of Atlantic City before catching the sunrise on the beach. There is clear sense of loneliness in the video, despite the lights and crowds of a summer night down the shore. That feeling echoes the loneliness of the song, with its lost love theme.

Watch the clip below and see The Dove & The Wolf live at All Night Diner in West Philly on Tuesday, August 23rd. Paloma and Lou play with Friendship, Field Sleeper and Curtis Cooper.
