Her June Key Studio Session had us itching for more, and now Liz de Lise is just about ready to hand it over. The Philadelphia singer/songwriter has released the first single from her forthcoming self-titled LP, a standout track called “Baby,” and we can expect to hear the full record on September 9th.

The song maneuvers from energetic indie rock to jazzy pop, showcasing de Lise’s abilty to change vocal characters at the drop of a hat. It’s one of those compositions that keeps things interesting through playful instrumental cadences and has a great horn part to boot.

Liz de Lise celebrates the release of Liz de Lise on September 10th at Ortlieb’s with The Bigness and Flat Mary Road; more information for the 21+ show can be found here. Listen to “Baby” below, and watch her live Key Studio Sessions performance of it via VuHaus
