Philadelphia roots scene regulars The Wallace Brothers Band threw a pretty sweet party last year at South Street watering hole Bob & Barbaras; they took over the stage for an entire day and filled it up with a lineup of the city’s hardest working Americana artists, Hurricane Hoss to Hezekiah Jones. The event went over so well the Wallaces decided to bring the event back for a second year, and it touches down and Italian Market joint Connie’s Ric Rac this weekend, Saturday August 27th.

Joining the hosts on the day-long excursion are Reading song-slinger Caroline Reese, Philly twang rockers Black Horse Motel, Folk Fest campground faves White Cheddar Boys, Fergie’s fave John Train, West Chester stalwarts Mason Porter and so many more. It’s also interesting to see the Bowie / Byrne inspired Minka on the bill, stretching the definition of country music.

The event takes place from 12:30 p.m. on the 27th to 2 a.m. on the 28th, and if you’re up for twanging out till closing time, check out the calendar – along with vids of some of the performers – below. More information can be found at Facebook.
