It’s difficult to place singer-songwriter Brooke DiCaro into any one genre of music. Set in an abandoned train, her September-released music video for her latest single “Blame” captivates viewers with stunning visuals and cinematography. Adorned with a net veil partially covering her face, along with an entirely black outfit, DiCaro is the picture of mourning. Fittingly, the video is supposed to represent the death of a relationship. Featuring a lone young woman performing a interpretive dance inspired routine who appears to represent the broken relationship in a separate entity.

DiCaro’s artful usage of a vocal harmonizer and her unique soul and blues inspired music has afforded her the packed performance schedule currently shown on her website. She has at least two shows a weekend for the next month in many bars and small venues in South Jersey and Philadelphia. She is playing a show tomorrow, September 10th, at Creekside Inn in Woodsville, New Jersey.
