An awesome lady of L.A. indie rock, Allison Weiss released her terrific third LP New Love last October on SideOneDummy. Coming out when it did, the record was sadly overlooked in the year-end wrapups of blogoland, but Weiss has been making up for it by taking New Love and all its hooky goodness on the road for the better part of 2016. Tonight she headlines Boot and Saddle. Even better: Thin Lips open. Tickets and more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.

Dub / reggae royalty Lee “Scratch” Perry takes the stage tonight at World Cafe Live. If you’re not quite sure why this is such an exciting thing, take a listen to his 1975 record Revolution Dub and get tickets and more info on the show here.

Seminal power popper Matthew Sweet headlines the Sellersville Theater tonight. His breakout third LP Girlfriend turns 25 years old next month. Watch the video for the title track below and get tickets and more info on the show at the XPN Concert Calendar.
