On Tuesday, October 4th, musicians from the legendary Philadelphia Orchestra will mark their triumphant return with some brotherly love of their own. After months on the road touring both stateside and abroad, they will perform across the Philadelphia and New Jersey area in twenty free musical events. Fourteen of these events will take place in public performance spaces and feature the musicians playing in groups of varying size and configuration.

The Philadelphia Orchestra have organized this smorgasbord of aural delights in recognition of their audience’s loyalty and support. Many of the musicians call these communities home, and with venues ranging from 30th Street Station all the way to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Chestnut Hill, there is bound to be an event near and dear to you too. The music will kick off with an 11am Chamber Orchestra performance at UArts and will continue throughout the day with offerings from string quartets, a wind quintet, a piano trio, and more.
Check out a full list of events below, as well as The Philadelphia Orchestra’s recent performance of Mahler’s “Resurrection” Finale from their residency at Bravo! Vail. For more information, check out their website.
