We tip our hat to Leonard Cohen, who celebrates his 82nd birthday today and fans are happy with the release of his latest song – the title track of his forthcoming album: “You Want it Darker.” Hear it below.
Leonard Cohen’s new album- You Want It Darker comes out October 21st. The title track appeared earlier this year on the Netflix series Peaky Blinders. You Want It Darker is produced by Cohen’s son, Adam and is the follow-up to 2014’s Popular Problems.
The new Oasis documentary Supersonic will be getting a one-night-only theatrical release next month. It’ll happen on October 26th at select theaters across the country and among them: The Ritz East in Philadelphia, and the Alamo Draft House in Brooklyn, NY. Supersonic was directed by Mat Whitecross and co-produced by Amy director Asif Kapadia, and follows the brothers Gallagher on their ascent to fame and fortune, and their subsequent downfall and break-up.
The Kinks have announced a 10-disc mono vinyl collection that will released on November 18th. The 10 disc Mono Collection will contain songs recorded from 1964 to 1969, bringing together the first 8 albums in mono, including ‘Live At Kelvin Hall’. The set also includes the bonus double LP compilation ‘The Kinks’ as well as a hardcover 48-page book including never-before-seen photos and new interviews with Ray Davies, Dave Davies and Mick Avory.
