Continuing to support her solo debut Because Become, Eliza Hardy Jones has announced a headlining show at Boot & Saddle for Saturday, December 10th. We’ve been enjoying the local singer-songwriter’s talents around town for several years now – she’s played with Buried Beds and Strand of Oaks, among others – but it’s been a real treat seeing her build momentum behind this solo project between touring duties with Grace Potter.

Ahead of this summer’s slot at XPN Fest, Jones spoke with The Key about her struggle to find her own voice outside of the many projects she’s been involved with:

“When I wrote for Buried Beds, it was writing for that idea, for that band,” she said. “I just want to do something that’s limitless, that has no boundaries. In the demo writing process, it was kind of tricky. I played in country bands, I played classical music, all of my side things were all very different. It was hard for me to decide what is it that I am outside of all that.”

What she landed on is a lush, electronic environment that is sonically transportive and lets her crystalline vocals stay at the focalpoint.

Tickets and information for the 21+ show will be available on the XPN Concert Calendar. Watch Jones perform Beacuse Become standout “Criminal” below.
