If you have trouble falling asleep at night, try watching the video for Hope Sandoval and Kurt Vile‘s collaborative song “Let Me Get There.”

This is meant as the highest compliment. This otherworldly drum and bass/guitar infused lullaby will have you dreaming before you even shut your eyes. The seven-and-a-half minute track was condensed into a four-minute-long video – whether this is a good or bad edit is up to you.

Twinkling stars and stock footage of a black and white ocean current immediately set the mood. This image will be swapped periodically with footage of animated clay heads that float around and mouth the lyrics of this cozy duet. The vocals are backed by Sandoval’s band The Warm Inventions. The metaphysical heads are strange upon first glance, but they make it impossible to deny the ambiguous statement that “It’s all in the groove.”

“Let Me Get There” will be featured on Hope Sandoval and The Warm Inventions’ forthcoming album Until the Hunter which will be released on November 4th via Tendril Tales. Check out the video below and make your own judgements on the video for this ethereal dream pop track.
