Tonight’s Concert Picks: Free Cake for Every Creature at World Cafe Live, Lake Street Dive at Union Transfer and La Santa Cecilia at World Cafe Live Upstairs

Indie-pop quartet Free Cake for Every Creature plays tonight at World Cafe Live. The Philly-based group released their first full length album, Talking Quietly With You, last April. Joining them will be Philly favorite Hello Shark, who just released Delicate, and Florida-based indie duo Sales. Tickets and information for the all ages show can be found here. Lake Street Dive will bring its 60’s rock and soul inspired songs to Union Transfer tonight. the quartet met in 2004 at the New England Conservatory of music in Boston, but didn’t begin to play together full-time until 2012. Their most recent release was their full length LP via Nonesuch Records called Side Pony. Joining this groovy and sophisticated group will be Brooklyn born art-pop band Rubblebucket. Also performing tonight in the upstairs of World Cafe will be the decorated Loa Angeles quartet La Santa Cecilia. Named after the patron saint of music, this group is a grammy-winning hybrid of rock and Latin musical influences. For more information on the all ages show click here.
