It’s the seven-year anniversary of the debut album of Pennsylvania folk outfit Tin Bird Choir. Well, October 9th was the actual anniversary, but the band is celebrating all the same, selling Barn Rockfor seven dollars all week long.

Tin Bird Choir references the likes of Sandra Cisneros and Kurt Vonnegut as some of the people who influence them most. This can be heard in the artful nature of their lyrics. In addition to the killer sale, the album will include a never-before-heard version of “New York Times” that was recorded live at the Moonlight Forest Festival in 2009.

The group’s artful blending of delicate harmonies and catchy choruses is one not easily forgotten. If you want to see Tin Bird Choir live, your next chance is at Saint Peter’s Bakery in Saint Peter’s, PA on November 26th.
