After a highlight of a set at the XPoNential Music Festival this summer, Diane Coffee returns for a show at Boot & Saddle tonight. The full-band project of Foxygen drummer Shaun Fleming released its sophomore effort Everybody’s a Good Dog last year, earning acclaim for its glam rock-inspired aesthetic as well as the band’s theatrical live show. Watch them perform “Everyday” live at the festival below and pick up tickets for the 21+ show here.

Patterson Hood brings his Southern rock band Drive By Truckers to Union Transfer tonight. The five piece is on tour in support of their new American Band LP, which was release in September by ATO. Hood called into the Dan & Dan Music Podcast recently to talk with hosts Dan Reed and Dan DeLuca about the record – listen to that segment here and check out album single “What It Means” below. Tickets and information for the all-ages show can be found here.

R&B performer Maxwell headlines the Wells Fargo Center tonight with Mary J Blige. The Brooklyn native redesigned contemporary soul music with his 1998 album Embrya, which is now credited, along with efforts from Erykah Badu and D’Angelo, as a catalyst of the “neo soul” movement. Maxwell is touring support of this year’s BlackSUMMERS’night LP – check out “Lake By the Ocean” below and pick up tickets for the concert here.
