Tonight Union Transfer will host North Carolina-based band Hiss Golden Messenger. The group touches on genres spanning from country, blues and rock. The show tonight is one of many stops on their Heart Like A Levee tour promoting their newest album released on October 7th via Merge Records. Check out the video for “Tell Her I’m Just Dancing” below, and click here for more information on this all ages show.

Eight-piece internationally influenced music outfit Red Baraat are bringing their neo-bhangra/funky brass music to Cape May tonight for the Exit 0 Jazz Fest. The group is touring in promotion of their most recent release, Livewire. Go to the WXPN Concert Calendar for more information, and watch Red Baraat’s performance for NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest.

Alabama native Anderson East brings a little country to The City of Brotherly Love tonight at Ardmore Music Hall. The singer wowed the crowd at his show at Philadelphia Folk Fest this summer, and we don’t doubt he’ll do it again. East is joined by fellow country-artist Brent Cobb. Get a taste of East and his music by watching the video for “Devil in Me” below, and click here for more information.
