With the release of the instantly engaging Rainier Bedstuy Home Recordings earlier this week, multi-municipal duo Strange Parts complimented the short collection of demos with a music video for the aptly named “The Ukulele Song,” shot by singer Attia Taylor on her trip to the Caribbean country of Trinidad.

This video takes a raw but alluring look into the everyday life of the people of Trinidad, showcasing picturesque beaches to conversations on the street. It’s not polished, but that’s not the point — Taylor’s footage gives an honest perspective to not only the country, but the band’s music, and much like the seven-track record, there’s no need for fancy editing or creative mastering. The vulnerability is what surprises me the most, as it’s a quick deviation from the atmospheric electronic-driven pop we heard earlier this year.

Watch the video below, and stream the recently released Rainier Bedstuy Home Recordings as well. If you like what you hear, check the duo out when they take on Everybody Hits on tonight celebrating Suburban Living’s record release with Louie Louie (tickets and more info can be found here).
