Grayscale loves Philadelphia, and an almost visual love letter to the city takes shape in the form of their new music video for “Midwest”, the second tune off of their 2016 release What We’re Missing to get the video treatment.

Spending a majority of the video in the sweaty underground of First Unitarian Church, the pop-punk upstarts gleefully watch over the crowd take advantage of the space, flipping and sledding over the top of screaming fans. Inter-cutting picturesque shots of this City of Brotherly Love with singer Collin Walsh’s lonely nights on a city rooftop, the song’s somber but exciting sound perfectly complements the presented separation anxiety from a girl thousands of miles away (“Please just come back / I’ll bury what I know we’re missing / And the summer nights we could be living in”). Keep an eye on these Drexel kids, because for the life of me, I can’t figure out why they aren’t already dominating Warped Tour’s main stage.

Watch the video below, and catch the band when they open for Set Your Goals this Friday (12/9) at the Theater of Living Arts. More information can be found on the XPN Concert Calendar.
