Carl Bahner, drummer of the Philly indie-rock band Cheerleader, has been reinventing himself for the last year or so as an electronic music producer — eponymously going by the handle Bahner. His specialty: remixing songs of fellow modern rock bands like The Griswolds and Panama Wedding.

His latest creation is a remix of “Not My Girl” by the Toronto’s Tokyo Police Club. Bahner turns the mid-tempo track into an upbeat song that highlights the newly reverberant vocals of lead singer Dave Monks with buzzing productions dominating the background. It’s the perfect track to transport you back to sunnier days and away from the bitter cold that’s just gotten hold of Philadelphia.

It doesn’t look like he has any shows coming up (nor do Tokyo Police Club), but just in case, keep an eye on the WXPN Concert Calendar. Listen to the Bahner’s remix of “Not My Girl” below.
