Philadelphia’s Cayetana are constantly on the road, and with travel comes fatigue. Rather than letting that get in their way, though, the band uses it to their advantage and delivers a vulnerable, emotive performance — despite singer-guitarist Augusta Koch’s voice being admittedly a little more world-weary than usual.

Instrumentally, the band sounds tight as ever thanks to Kelly Olsen’s powerful drumming and Allegra Anka’s rock-solid bass interplaying with Koch’s guitar. Over the course of the thirty minute set, they rip through everything from 2014’s “Serious Things Are Stupid” to this year’s “Freedom 1313”.

Topics of discussion between songs include the Philly scene- with shoutouts to Hop Along, Waxahatchee and Amanda X – as well as slo-mo videos, and Allegra’s strange facial expressions. They also discuss their plans to release their eagerly anticipated sophomore album independently — they say it will be out in May.
