For this year’s final episode of The Dan and Dan Music Podcast, Dan Reed and Dan DeLuca join forces with XPN’s resident Christmas music expert Robert Drake to discuss the best and worst sounds of the season (after they get through some opening banter on Bob Seger).

Producer of Kids Corner, host of Land of the Lost, and recent “Best Radio Personality of Philadelphia” winner, Drake has been spending Christmas Eve on the XPN airwaves for the last 24 years with his The Night Before show. Twenty-four hours of Christmas songs, ranging from the classically beloved to the oddball obscure, all pulled from the Philadelphia native’s personal collection.

Drake talks about his history of collecting Christmas albums, his favorite subgenres of Christmas music, how he prepares for his yearly 24-hour shift, and how you can be a part of the fun via social media. Meanwhile, the Dans share their least favorite holiday songs.

Stream the episode below and tune into The Night Before beginning at 12:00 am tonight.
