It’s a month of Lame-O Records in more ways than one.

The revered Philly record label — home to Thin Lips, Lithuania, The Superweaks and more — kicks off its second annual Rock Residency at Boot and Saddle this Thursday night, with a gig each Thursday benefiting a different cause, from The Attic Youth Center to the ACLU. Thursday’s lineup is tight as hell, featuring sets from Dominic, Cherry and Hurry, and supports Planned Parenthood.

The Month of Lame-O is also echoed on the Tuesday night XPN Local Show, and it began last night when Matt Scottoline dropped in for a guest DJ set of power pop favorites (including Nada Surf, as well as the Guided by Voices side project The Keene Brothers) mixed in with like-minded Philadelphians (Honey Radar and It’s A King Thing). Matt also talked a bit about the label, the series of gigs and general Philly scene life. If you missed it, you can stream his entire guest DJ set and check out the playlist below.
