A day on the heels of Coachella’s lineup announcement, revered New York festival Governors Ball dropped it’s 2017 roster, and it’s a pretty sweet and eclectic collection of artists that will converge on Randall’s Island in New York City from June 2nd to June 4th.

Big names are alt-rock / prog-metal titans Tool, who are reportedly finalizing their first studio offering since 2006’s 10,000 Days. Universally acclaimed Chicago MC Chance the Rapper will also take the stage along with anthemic French modern rockers Phoenix, and rapper-turned-funk-visionary Childish Gambino.

Favorites on the lower tier include emotive UK singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka, 90s rap icons  Wu-Tang Clan, downbeat electropop Parisians Air, scuzzy Brooklynites Parquet Courts and impressionistic dance-rock duo Phantogram.

Overlap with Coachella includes beloved indie rockers Car Seat Headrest, haunting electronic artist Banks and Seattle faves The Head and The Heart. And not to miss on the bottom tier includes Barns Courtney, whose song “Fire” was an XPN Gotta Hear Song last April, and Philly native now based in Nashville Ron Gallo (way to go Ronny!).

Check out the poster below, which looks like it’d be great for blacklight viewing. More information on the festival here.
