The folks at Weathervane Music are back it again, this time bringing us a Shaking Through session with Waxahatchee. Katie Crutchfield & co will be in Fishtown’s Miner Street Recording this weekend, January 21st and January 22nd, and the live-stream cameras will be on hand to give us a backstage pass into their recording process.

Crutchfield released her widely acclaimed Ivy Tripp LP in 2015, delivering a collection of observations that are intimate, heartbreaking, euphoric, and nostalgic against a polished backdrop of the rawness that made her breakthrough Cerulean Salt so striking.

The weekend’s Shaking Through session will begin on Saturday with a day of tracking, followed by mixing on Sunday. By the end of the process we’ll have a brand new recorded song from the Philly-based outfit, and perhaps the chance to hear it performed live when Crutchfield opens for the New Pornographers at Union Transfer on April 27th.

The session begins tomorrow at 10:00 am and will be live-streamed here. Tickets and information for Waxahatchee’s Union Transfer show are available here. Watch a video for “I Think I Love You” below and dig into the Weathervane Music archives here.
