One of our favorite records of last year came from Japanese Breakfast, the Philly/Brooklyn project of singer-songwriter Michelle Zauner, and it is continuing its much-deserved path to success and announced a quick five-date tour with the recently reunited Slowdive.

Japanese Breakfast’s critically acclaimed Psychopomp burst onto the scene last year with a refreshing twist on atmospheric indie pop, a perfect complement to Slowdive’s classic trend-setting shoegaze. Although Pennsylvania will not be visited, Washington DC and Brooklyn, NY will both be graced with shows on May 7th and 8th, respectively.

Tickets go on sale this Friday (January 27th), and tickets/more information can be found here. Full dates are listed below, along with Japanese Breakfast’s captivating video for “Everybody Wants To Love You”.

05-02 St. Paul, MN – Palace Theater
05-03 Chicago, IL – Vic Theater
05-05 Toronto, Ontario – Danforth Music Hall
05-07 Washington, DC – 9:30 Club
05-08 Brooklyn, NY – Brooklyn Steel
