The always fun Esme Patterson graces World Cafe Live, bringing her quirky style of alternative pop with local songwriter Abi Reimold. Blending power pop, post-punk and alt-country into a melodic sound is difficult, but comes out terrific on the other side. The gig is all ages, and tickets/more information can be found here.

Shed a few tears and say goodbye to Old City’s Tin Angel, as it’s final show brings a cavalcade of locals to send out the venue with a bang. Featuring John Francis and Jesse Lundy as your MCs, all proceeds will benefit SoundGirls.org, an organization working to create a supporting music community for women. The show is 21+ and tickets/more information can be found here.

New York oddballs Parquet Courts will be gracing Union Transfer, performing selections from their polarizing 2016 release Human Performance. One of my personal AOTYs last year, these art-rockers combine blatant symbolism with relaxed hooks to create some of the best alternative rock sounds of the decade. The gig is all ages, and tickets/more information can be found here.

Also Performing:
Great Good Fine Ok at The Foundry (AA, $12)

Lolo at Boot and Saddle (21+, $12)
