Seemingly out of the blue, Young Statues announced a headlining hometown show taking place April 28th at Boot and Saddle. After putting out a fantastic self-titled record in 2011 and another full length in 2014, the band went into some sort of slumber and haven’t released music since or performed since Man Overboard’s goodbye show at First Unitarian last year. Their emo has a little bit of a pop flair to it, an enjoyable combination that helped kickstart Run for Cover Records earlier in the decade. Tickets go on sale this Friday at noon, and the gig will be 21+ (more information can be found here). Below, watch the road trippin’ video for “Spacism” off of their first self-titled record.
