Acclaimed indie-rock duo PWR BTTM – Liv Bruce and Ben Hopkins – recently announced the release of their sophomore album, Pageant, on May 12th.

Bruce and Hopkins, a queer-identified garage punk duo, met at Bard College, and released their debut album Ugly Cherries in 2015. Drawing on glam, garage, and the poppy power constructs of Weezer and Fountains of Wayne, Bruce and Hopkins create their own musically unique thing, and seek to build on an already passionate fan base with their new album.

On Friday night, they played a joyous to a sold out crowd at PhilaMOCA — it included a guest appearance from Hopkins’ mother on vocals — and they return to Philly on June 17th at Union Transfer.

Below, watch the video for their new song, “Big Beautiful Day.”
