Shoegaze is back, baby. As bands like Slowdive resurface alongside Lush and My Bloody Valentine, it was only time before staples Ride get in on the action. The follow-up to 1996’s Tarantula is in the making, and as we get closer and closer to the release, the band continues to tease every die-hard by hitting us this time in the form of “Home Is A Feeling”

We’ve got some good ole fashioned shoegaze here everyone, as the 3+ minute track takes its sweet time to create some ambient goodness. Classic clean guitars and filling bass guitar have no problem occupying the space behind Mark Gardener’s soothing vocals to create a space-out for the masses, throwing you into an engulphing yet familiar feeling of euphoric vibes.

If this continues to be what new Ride sounds like, we may get a seriously AOTY contender.
