Legendary southern rockers Gov’t Mule have quite a few festival dates booked for the summer, but they’ve managed to squeeze in a stop at the Tower Theater on May 19th beforehand. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 10th and will be available via the XPN Concert Calendar.
Warren Haynes and co. released The Tel-Star Sessions last year, a two-disc time machine that shares the bands’ very first demo recordings from 1994 for the first time. The collection includes early takes of “Rocking Horse” and “Monkey “Hill,” both from Gov’t Mule’s debut record, as well as a cover of ZZ Top’s “Just Got Paid.”
Back in 2009, Gov’t Mule stopped by World Cafe Live and WXPN for a Free at Noon performance – listen back to that show below.
