Hear Asgeir’s upbeat, soul-pop in new single, “Stardust”

It seems that Icelandic sensation Asgeir can do no wrong. With the release of single “Unbound,” we saw him trade in the folkiness of 2013’s In the Silence, for a cool electronic, R&B feel. In Asgeir’s newest release, “Stardust,” he explores this move even further with a piece of upbeat, soulful pop.

There is an undeniably fun, glimmering appeal to “Stardust” that shines throughout the entirety of the track. While still retaining his sweet, honest lyrics and intimate vocals, “Stardust” shows Asgeir having some playful, yet still smart, pop fun. Blending bouncy electronic beats with a funk-filled chorus, it’s a song you have no choice but to groove to.
