Ellen Siberian Tiger impressed us with her recent EP,  Red-Blooded Woman, in which singer Ellen Tiberio-Schultz takes a more stripped-down, vulnerable and introspective approach. The three bluesy-folk tracks showcase Tiberio-Schultz skills in crafting acoustic, confessional songs along with noisey wonder punk. Don’t miss seeing Ellen Siberian Tiger tonight at Kung Fu Necktie, along with a lineup of Ian Fitzgerald, Driftwood Soldier, and Cult Class. More info can be found on the XPN Concert Calendar. Listen to the beautiful tune, “Grinding My Teeth,” below.
West Coast rapper Vince Staples has been gaining a lot of well-deserved attention over the past few years. His most recent release, EP Prima Donna, featured appearances with A$AP Rocky and Kilo Kish, in addition to a short film that accompanied it. Staples has also been featured on numerous collabs, including the recent feature on the new Gorillaz album, Humanz, on trackAscension.” Be sure to catch him (and Kish) tonight at Union Transfer, where you can find more info here. Listen to his track, “Lift Me Up” below.

Though Philly punk duo, King Azaz, may be few in members, they’re big in sound. The fall release of seven track, Spiritus Mundi, is a total jamfest from start to finish. Don’t miss this powerful punk duo when they play tonight with Chameleon Technology and Gladys the Gardener at Bourbon and Branch. Find more info on the 21+ show here, and perfect your head-banging before the show to their track, “Numb,” below.
