Ten years ago, Mexico City duo Rodrigo y Gabriela released their sophomore self-titled LP, a record that put their dual-guitar compositions on the map. To mark the album’s milestone, the musicians have announced a U.S. tour that stops at the Electric Factory on Saturday, June 10th.

The tour comes after Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero announced that they will reissue the breakthrough effort this spring. The deluxe version comes with an extended second disc featuring a selection of live songs recorded during a 2009 show in Dublin, Ireland, where the band was living at the time of release – the video of album cut “Satori” below is from this show at the Olympia Theatre. According to Brooklyn Vegan the early summer tour will highlight songs from RyG, while also digging into the rest of the duo’s catalog.

The Rodrigo y Gabriela reissue is set for a May 5th release through ATO Records. Tickets for the anniversary show go on sale Friday, March 31st and will be available via the XPN Concert Calendar. In midst of the milestone excitement,  Rod & Gab are currently working on their sixth studio record.
