Broken Social Scene is getting ready to release their first album in seven years, and they’ve just released the first song from it: “Halfway Home.” Watch them debut the song live on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert last night.
Broken Social Scene’s Kevin Drew recently told SiriusXMU:
“It’s been 17 years we’ve been together as a band, and you just pick up where you left off. We’ve been working on this album on and off for the last year, and we thought that, since we’re an anthemic band, we wanted to bring the celebration”
BSS’ last album was 2010’s Forgiveness Rock Record.
Paul Weller (Style Council and The Jam) has a new solo album called A Kind of Revolution, and featured on the song “One Tear” is none other than Boy George! This is the the 13th solo album for Weller, and marks the 40th anniversary of his debut with The Jam, In The City, released in 1977. The new album is available to stream, and you can also listen to some bonus tracks plus alternate versions and remixes at paulweller.com.Boy George, Broken Social Scene, MusicNotes, Paul Weller, xpn morning show, XPN MusicNotes, XPN MusicNotes from the XPN Morning Show
