Moor Mother shares haunting “Parallel Nightmares” video

Philadelphia rapper/producer Moor Mother gives another highlight from her Fetish Bones LP a visual treatment this week, following up last year’s “By the Light” clip with some black and white footage in “Parallel Nightmares.”

Moor Mother’s Camae Ayewa co-directed the clip for “Parallel Nightmares” with Bob Sweeney, setting the track’s fractured and frenetic energy against the desolate, cold backdrop of a frozen forest. A cloaked figure leads us deeper into the bare trees before jolting us into darkness, a single spotlight shining weakly on Ayewa’s face as mechanical samples clash in our ears.

Watch the video below. Ayewa is currently on tour in Europe but will be back in the States for a show in NYC on June 8th.
