Tonight’s Concert Picks: Tinariwen at Union Transfer, Oddisee at TLA, John Patitucci & Daedalus Quartet at World Cafe Live, and more

Grammy-award winning Tuareg group Tinariwen will bring their sweeping sounds of the Sahara to Union Transfer tonight. The Malian rockers recently released their album, Elwan, which features contributions from Kurt Vile, Mark Lanegan, Alain Johannes, and Matt Sweeney. D.C. rapper / producer Oddisee blends hip-hop, jazz, and dance beats in his recently released album, The Iceberg. If the title is any indication, this is just the start for Oddisee’s success, as he has mastered the art of smart, prolific lyrics  working with infectious club beats. Renowned bassist John Patitucci joins the Daedalus Quartet tonight at World Cafe Live.
