You can always count on Glitter to turn in a left of center piece of art, as they did most recently with last year’s Ancient Rome LP that really got us hooked. Now they’ve done it again, releasing Dial Tone on a small run of clear vinyl last month.

The EP starts off on a bright note with the quirky indie pop “Call Me,” but follow-up track “Orchid” dives deep into a careening kind of art rock that touches on synthy new wave but keeps things a little more abstract with its deconstructed opening. “Juliet” brings back the nearly-twee, sugary pop vibes as a kind of palette cleanser before closing track “The Snake” turns up the distortion pedal and swerves back into the darker rock (still accented by hooky synths, of course).
