Jo Kusy turned in a new record last week, following up last year’s Wild Violets with the self-produced songs on No One Else. The Far-Out Fangtooth guitarist tends to explore the subtler, dreamier side of psych rock on his solo material, making No One Else a great lazy summer day soundtrack.

Drawing on the warm fuzziness of the record’s production style, Kusy also shared a video for opening track “Dirty Dungarees.” Hazy shots of the waves crashing on jetties and Kusy strumming his guitar, barefoot on a bed are filtered through a steady stream of colors and kaleidoscopic patterns, echoing the blissed out 60s vibe of the song.

Kusy leads a cassette release show at Boot & Saddle on Saturday, July 29th. Tickets and information can be found here; watch “Dirty Dungarees” below and stream No One Else here.
