If you made it to Circadian Rhythms‘ show at PhilaMOCA last month, lucky you – you probably got your hands on A Peculiar Kind of Afternoon, the local art poppers’ beautifully constructed new full-length. For the rest of us, the wait is finally over: the band is releasing the LP via digital outlets today.

Leading up to today’s release, the sextet shared a heartwarming video for the title track last week. The softly swinging horns and strings of “A Peculiar Kind of Afternoon” are warm and embracing, and as the bands writes below, the pervasive optimism of the track inspired a video that’ll brighten your day for sure.

A Peculiar Kind of Afternoon is a reminder that everything that exists between the sun & the moon is fleeting, and it’s up to you to find peace in your life. When we first sent the song to our friend & director (Robert Hollister Aitken) he said a certain feeling stood out to him: jubilation. So, Bobby connected with friends young & old to take portraits of them smiling, dancing, and enjoying life in their own way on a peculiar kind of afternoon.

Check it out below and pick up a digital copy of A Peculiar Kind of Afternoon here. Circadian Rhythms recorded a few of the album’s tracks in last month’s Key Studio Session (along with an even newer untitled number), which you can listen back to here.
